The Red Shield is a shield from A Link to the Past and BS The Legend of Zelda: Ancient Stone Tablets.

A Link to the Past

Unlike the Fighter's Shield, the Red Shield can protect Link against small fireballs shot from enemies.

There are two ways to obtain one:

• Purchase it in a store for around 500 Rupees
• Exchange the Fighter's Shield for this shield in the Waterfall of Wishing

Getting this shield is optional, rather than required to finish the game. Like the Fighter's Shield, it can be eaten by Pikits.

Ancient Stone Tablets

This shield is found in Level 4, located in the north of the Lost Woods during Week 2.
